In case you missed it, The Maryland Nursing Workforce Center (MNWC) has been hosting the NextGen NCLEX Preparatory Series Workshops for Maryland faculty since Fall of 2021. Each session can earn you up to 1.5 contact hours and all nine of the sessions previously hosted are still available completely free!
The next session will be on Working with Gen Z Learners in the Clinical Setting with UMSON's Dr. Susan Bindon, hosted virtually on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. Don't miss it and register today!
You can find all of the previously recorded workshops (#1 - #9) here. The workshops feature a wide variety of topics, including:
Maximizing Your Test Environment with Dr. Rita D'Aoust
Using a Clinical Judgement Model Across the Curriculum with Dr. Diane Billings
Yours, Mine and Ours: Sharing Ideas for Assessing Clinical Judgement with Dr. Kathie Lasater
These informative sessions are centered on NCLEX program updates and resources available to nursing faculty. Learn how to prepare for educational offerings, clinical and simulation instruction, testing, and next steps. All of the virtual workshops are free and offered on behalf of the Maryland Nursing Workforce Center.
Keep an eye out on the MNWC site and the LNF Career Portal for future virtual sessions!
These workshops are offered at no cost through funding by the Nurse Support Program II (NSP II 19-124), which is funded by the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) and administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC).
